(BlackPressRadio.net) – Did you know that there’s a successful project underway to create the nation’s FIRST Black-owned, woman-led sports network? Did you know that “THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD” by Zora Neale Hurston, Richard Wright’s “NATIVE SON” and other important Black books are on the BANNED BOOKS list? Did you know that the first Black newspaper was put online in 1996 by DC Livers or that she started podcasting 20+ years ago?
If you don’t know about all of these advancements for Black Americans you can thank the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Roland Martin, Black Enterprise Magazine and other boughie ‘black’ media?
“Flat out, they bullied shit out of me. It was really crazy. That’s why I call them the OREO PRESS because they’re mostly black skinned people working for The Man at white owned or mainstreamed media,” said DC Livers, a digital pioneer who has seen her Linked In skyrocket since she announced the creation of TBSN: The Black Sportz Network.

“I had to spell sports with a Z because I didn’t want to attract old folks over 35,” said Livers. “The next generation of Black content creators, journalists and media owners shouldn’t have to put up with the stuff I did when I was creating BlackPressRadio or what I’m putting up with now as I build the first Black-owned sports network,” said Livers.
