(BlackPressRadio.net) – The 2016-2017 NBA season had its share of winners and losers but perhaps no one was most impacted that superstar Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.

With Phil Jackson latching on to the star like a pit bull and refusing to let go, the NBA Players Association has stepped in several times to cry foul and to warn Jackson that he needs to fall back. Not that he cared, because he has the support of Knicks owner, James Dolan.

The situation at Madison Square Garden became so explosive for Carmelo and teammates Kristaps Porzingis and Derrick Rose that the league is considering whether the sale of the Knicks would be the right decision.

The stress of being racially and emotionally abused by Jackson took its toll on Anthony, who is legally separated from his wife after he alleged go another woman pregnant.

Basketball gurus like Stephen A. Smith, Shaq O’Neal, Dick Vitale, Scott Pippen, Jeff Van Gundy and others have come forward to say the league has to do something about Jackson. Smith went farthest nearly having a heart attack expressing the need for the general manager of the Knicks to be fired and pressure to be applied to Dolan.

The basketball world is on its head with a new trade rumor that has Anthony, Chris Paul and LeBron James playing together in Cleveland in 2017.

LeBron – who is an only child – has made no secret that he views Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Dwayne Wade his brothers. He’s also been clear that he wants to play with his brothers before he retires. If that’s to be, the timing may be closer than anyone could think.

As far as trades go, some say that if Melo and CP3 go to Cleveland, there’s no guarantee of a championship ring but the odds are much higher for Carmelo in Cleveland than in New York City. But with Boston holding so many draft chips, some say he’s best playing for The Celtics. What do you think about it?
